Screen
Print Department Manager
This position supervises and manages our complete screen printing department,
from screen-making to finished, printed product. The department consists
of three cylinder presses, 3 semi-automatic flatbed presses, a 63" guillotine
cutter, and all supporting machinery, equipment, and supplies (screens,
vacuum exposure units, UV lamps and curing units,
wash
out sink
and chemicals, inks and storage, etc.). This position is also responsible
for the safe handling and required record keeping related to the
inks and chemicals used in the department, and also carries the
responsibility of training subordinate staff in those areas. The department
currently has
7
employees,
operating
on two shifts. This
position
is a
day shift
position,
but is also
responsible for the work of the night shift, which overlaps for an hour
in the late afternoon.
The successful candidate for this position must have extensive knowledge
and hands-on experience in commercial screen printing, as well as prior
management experience and a "can do" attitude. 4-color process printing
knowledge and experience is mandatory!

Production
Artist / Pre-Press
This
position is primarily a pre-press computer graphics position, pre-flighting
and properly preparing client provided digital files for
both screen printing and large format digital printing, under the supervision
of the Art and Digital department managers.
Knowledge of both Mac and PC is preferred, with emphasis on Mac applications
including PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Freehand, and Quark Express.
Design ability is not a requirement, but is a definite plus. Prior
experience with either screen printing or large format digital printing of
some type is VERY much a plus!
A basic understanding of color profiles and cmyk printing is also
helpful. This position may also perform other duties as the department's
needs dictate
(outputting to
various
digital
printers,
lamination
and mounting, production of cut vinyl lettering, etc.).

Customer
Service Representative
This
position is an inside sales support position involving limited customer
contact (phones and occasional walk-in customers), but is more extensively
involved
with accurately preparing and processing work orders and quotation documents
for screen printing and large format digital print jobs. Typing skills
are mandatory as is a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and
Excel. Any prior experience with the printing industry is a BIG plus! Attention
to detail is crucial. This position may also be involved with
general office work, including company mail/fax processing, occasional
phone/reception duties, and document filing.

Purchasing
Agent
This
position is responsible for the timely and cost-effective purchasing of
all materials and supplies used by Brixen & Sons. Negotiation skills
with primary vendors, as well as general people skills are extremely important
in this
position.
Typing and general
computer skills are required, as is keen attention to detail, proper
record keeping, and absolute accuracy. We are a
fast-paced business using an exceptionally diverse
and often changing range of
materials. Any
prior experience with the printing industry is a plus!

S/R Clerk
This
position works under the supervision of the S/R department manager
and performs various duties including the efficient
and timely packing of a wide variety of company
of product for shipment to customers; materials receiving & storing;
fork
lift operation; computer
skills involving basic data entry; and
possibly some delivery/driving duties.

A/R
Clerk / Receptionist
This
position works under the supervision of our Office manager, in a
small department of 3 total employees. Typing and basic computer
skills are
required, as is a general understanding of accounts receivable concepts
and procedures. Accuracy and attention to detail is an absolute requirement
in this position. Occasional reception/phone duties may also be required
in this position as
we split the company's receptionist responsibilities among the front
office staff.

Office
/ Accounting Manager
This
position is a crucial and key position at Brixen & Sons. Thankfully,
our current Office Manager is still with us, and will be here indefinitely
to train her replacement, although she is anxious to "retire" and
pursue family oriented interests. As is often the case in smaller companies,
our front
office
assumes the
complete
and
total
responsibility
not only
for
our accounting, purchasing, and
human resources needs, but also for everything else not directly
covered by Sales and Production.
The
successful candidate for this position must have excellent computer skills,
a thorough knowledge of generally
accepted accounting principles and procedures, the ability to supervise
and motivate other employees within the department, and a
definite
"can
do" and "whatever it takes"
attitude! Working overtime will occasionally be required to meet the
company's needs.
